A murphy bed is only as good as its anchoring and its mechanism tune. We install the beds we design, and we install the flat-pack beds people buy online and then look at the box for a week.

## Custom beds we design

Installation is included in every bed we sell. The crew brings the finished cabinet, anchors it to studs or concrete, levels it, mounts the mechanism, sets the piston tension for your mattress, hangs doors, and tests it with you lifting it before they leave. Half a day for a cabinet bed, most of a day for a wall unit with side cabinets, a desk or a sofa.

## Beds you bought online

Costco, Wayfair, Home Depot, Walmart, Amazon and the national murphy bed stores all ship beds in boxes, and the instructions assume two patient people and a weekend. We do this a lot:

1. Send the product link and a phone photo of the wall.
2. We quote a flat installation price and tell you honestly whether the kit is worth installing. Some are not.
3. The crew unboxes, assembles, anchors, tunes and hauls the cardboard away.

Two to four hours for most cabinet beds. Longer for kits with side cabinets, desks or lighting.

## What a proper install includes

- Anchoring into studs, or masonry anchors into concrete and block. Never drywall anchors alone.
- Leveling the cabinet so doors close and the bed does not drift.
- Mechanism tension set for your actual mattress weight, so it lifts with one hand and does not slam.
- Leg and strap setup, door alignment, and a safety walk-through.
- A check of what is in the wall before drilling. Outlets, switches and vents get worked around; plumbing gets avoided.

Salt Lake City and the Salt Lake valley, Lehi, American Fork, Provo and Orem, Draper and Sandy, Ogden and Layton, Park City, and St. George. Somewhere else in Utah? Ask. We also install in parts of Idaho by arrangement.

## Questions people ask

**Can you install a murphy bed I bought from Costco or Wayfair?**

Yes. Send us the product link and a photo of the wall. Most flat-pack cabinet beds take two to four hours for a crew to assemble, anchor and tune. We tell you up front if a kit is one we will not stand behind.

**How long does installation take?**

A custom cabinet bed is about half a day. A bed with side cabinets or a desk is most of a day. A flat-pack kit is two to four hours including unboxing.

**Do you anchor into the wall? Will it damage the wall?**

Every murphy bed must be anchored to the wall, into studs or into concrete. That is what makes it safe. The anchor points are hidden inside the cabinet. If you ever remove the bed you patch a few holes.

**What do I need to do before you arrive?**

Clear the wall and about eight feet of floor in front of it, have the mattress in the house, and tell us if there are outlets, switches or vents on that wall. We handle the rest.
