Beehive Wall Beds designs and sells custom murphy beds for Utah homes. A free design visit at your place, a bed built to your wall by Utah craftsmen, and installation by our crews. The room is a guest room when you need one and an office, gym or playroom the rest of the year.
What you get
A real mattress
Queen, full, twin or king. Your mattress or ours. It sleeps like a bed because it is one.
Built to your wall
Measured in your home. Shaker, flat panel or raised panel doors. Stain or paint. Side cabinets, a desk, a sofa or lighting if you want them.
Installed, not delivered
Anchored to studs, leveled, mechanism tuned. You lift it with two fingers when we leave.
Honest about what fits
Eight foot ceilings, low basements, tight bedrooms. We tell you on the visit what works and what does not.
How it works
- Tell us about the room. The form below takes a minute. We reply the same business day with a rough price range.
- Free design visit. We measure, look at your ceiling and floor, and bring finish samples. You pick the style, size and options.
- Built and installed. Four to eight weeks later the crew installs it in about half a day. Guests that weekend.

How much does a custom murphy bed cost in Utah?
Custom cabinet beds built and installed along the Wasatch Front typically run from the mid four thousands up to ten thousand with side cabinets, desks or lighting. Flat-pack beds from big box stores run four hundred to fifteen hundred before installation. Our cost guide breaks it down.
Do you have a showroom?
No. We are a design and sales company. We come to you, measure the room, and show finishes and hardware in the space the bed will live in. Beds are built to order by Utah craftsmen and installed by our partner crews.
How long does it take?
Most custom beds are built and installed four to eight weeks after the design visit. Installation itself takes about half a day.
Can I use my own mattress?
Usually, yes. Most mechanisms take a standard mattress up to about eleven or twelve inches thick, no box spring. We confirm the limit for the mechanism we spec for you.
